April 15th, 2010
Dear Member of CAMMAC,
It is our pleasure to invite you to attend our upcoming musical AGM in Montreal on the afternoon of Saturday, May 15th, starting at 1:30PM. In keeping with the CAMMAC spirit, we will have musical activities for adults, children and teenagers, followed by a reception with wine and canapés. We are hoping to have a good turnout of both singers and instrumentalists for this afternoon event to be held at Studio 10 King, a café-art gallery in Old Montreal. The formal announcement of the AGM follows this letter.
The activities for children and teenagers will be led by Isabelle Vadeboncoeur, who is preparing a program of singing as well as African drumming and dancing. The adult musical program will be led by Rafik Matta who will be prepared with a number of works to choose from, depending on the combination of singers and instrumentalists who attend. The afternoon will begin at 1:30 with the AGM for adults and the program for children and teenagers.
Following the AGM and the music (made by us), you are invited to join in for canapés and a complimentary glass of wine supplied by CAMMAC. Additional beer and wine will be available at our cash bar. You are invited to stay on to chat, to jam, or to perform a prepared piece. The space is ours to enjoy throughout the evening.
This is an opportunity for CAMMACers of all ages to have a fun afternoon: make music together, catch up on what is happening at CAMMAC and meet CAMMAC Board members. Won’t you take the time to join us to hear about what is happening at CAMMAC and to have fun with other amateur musicians?
Please let us know if you will attend, so that we can plan the musical programs and make sure we have enough canapés and wine. RSVP by sending an email to national@cammac.ca with the number of children, teens and adults attending as well as their instruments or voice Or by phoning 1-888-622-8755, ext. 226 and speaking to Alwynne Wise.
