CAMMAC Toronto caters to music-lovers and amateur music-makers who live within a 100 km radius of the Toronto area. Our region offers various activities (for singers and instrumentalists) throughout the year, opportunities to meet other music-lovers through learning, playing and enjoying music.Everyone is welcome to participate for a nominal fee.
The May 30 Reading of Mozart’s Mass in C Minor conducted by Howard Dyck was a success…we were short in numbers, but long in effort and enthusiasm.
At the break a short AGM was held, during which the new Committee was elected and reports were submitted by outgoing President Kathy Gallyas and Treasurer Marion Wilk, along with a summary of the brainstorming session about Readings and Workshops held in April.
Watch for the 2010-2011 bookmarks listing Readings and Workshops.
Monthly readings let you read through different works,
usually with choir and orchestra; occasionally orchestral
works or a capella only.
The first half
of a reading is a "mini-rehearsal", and in the second half,
the work is "performed" with the participants as audience.
