Dear CAMMAC Members,

We have an exciting announcement to make.  After 33 years of operation, CAMMAC Ontario Music Center will be incorporating as a separate non-profit charitable organization, operating under the name of Lake Field Music.  Lake Field Music will undertake all the projects and activities previously operated by CAMMAC OMC including the very successful summer program at Lakefield College School.

CAMMAC is thrilled by OMC’s success and we all look forward to maintaining a close and mutually supportive relationship in the future.  CAMMAC is pleased that this satellite project has been so successful that it can now stand on its own.  The objectives of the new organization are substantially the same as those of CAMMAC and CAMMAC OMC– to inspire and support amateur music making.

Members of the OMC Management Committee will become the Board of Directors for Lake Field Music.  These are the same people that have ensured CAMMAC OMC’s success over the past several years.

This new arrangement will allow Lake Field Music to pursue additional fundraising opportunities and allow us both to concentrate on our core activities.  Lake Field Music is looking forward to expanding its year round programming in the Peterborough/Lakefield area and South Central Ontario.

CAMMAC memberships of OMC participants  which are currently in effect will stay in effect until their normal expiry date.  We sincerely hope that all  current OMC participants will continue to maintain membership in CAMMAC.
