To: The Members of CAMMAC
From: Harry Qualman, President
Dear CAMMAC members,
The summer season is soon approaching and I hope we will see a lot of you at one of our summer camps at Lake MacDonald or the Ontario Music Centre. It is not too late to register and coming to a music camp helps us ensure that our programs are fun for everyone and also helps CAMMAC meet its financial targets in this challenging period. If you have lost your registration papers, simply phone the national office at 1-888-622-8755 to register by phone for Lake Mac; and for the Ontario Music Centre you can register online at www.cammaclakefield.ca.
I am writing you now to invite you also to consider joining us for our Annual General Meeting. As we did last year, we are offering you a special deal for the AGM. The AGM will be on Saturday, June 20th, at Lake MacDonald. Attached is a registration form which you can fill out if you can join us. For the modest sum of $80, we are offering you the following: attendance at the AGM which begins at 11:30 on Saturday morning and goes on until 1pm and is followed by a short Special General Assembly. Then we have a workshop in which we will ask you to give us your ideas about how to ensure a good future for CAMMAC. This will be a guided brainstorming session. Following this we offer you a wine and cheese and a lovely supper. Hopefully, some music in the evening and a good night's rest followed by breakfast on Sunday morning and then you are on your way. If the weather is good, a nice swim before departure would be fun too! We hope many of you will decide to join us by sending in your registration form for this yearly event. Please note that you may of course attend the AGM and workshop only without registering for the meals and overnight as well.
CAMMAC is your organization. We are membership-based and we want you to meet your Board at the Annual General Meeting and to share your thoughts and ideas with us.
I wish you a wonderful summer that will be filled with happy musical memories.
All the best,
Harry Qualman
President of CAMMAC
