Classes Requiring Pre-Registration
Self-grading guides are available on our website, electronically or by mail. Strings, winds and pianists will find their guide on the Chamber Music Form, combo musicians on the Combo registration form and recorder players on the Recorder self grading guide.
Chamber music
The chamber music program is for experienced amateur musicians with good sight-reading skills.
Strings: intermediate and advanced;
Winds: advanced;
Pianists: advanced (limit of 4 pianists weeks 27/06, 11/07, 18/07; limit of 3 pianists week 25/07).
REGISTRATION DEADLINE WEEK 27/06 Jane Wilson must receive your registration form before June 1st: Groups will be formed at this date.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE WEEKS 11/07, 18/07, 25/07 Jane Wilson must receive your registration form before June 15th: Groups for these weeks will be formed at this date.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE WEEKS 01/08, 08/08 Jane Wilson must receive your registration form before July 1st: Groups for these weeks will be formed at this date.
Less-experienced winds and strings will be encouraged to register for the introduction to ensemble playing classes or to elementary wind orchestra (when offered), less-experienced pianists or pianists whom we are unable to place into the chamber music program will be welcome to register for piano 4 hands class and piano class.
Group members will be notified as soon as the groups are formed and encouraged to select the work for their week at CAMMAC. Priority will be given to complete groups formed ahead of time with a limit of one pre-formed group per person (you may also be placed in other groups). Registrations received after June 1st, June 15th or July 1st (see registration deadlines above) will be accepted but without guarantees, though every effort will be made to include everyone. After June 20, all chamber music forms should be sent to the CAMMAC office. Chamber music must be given priority in your schedule.
Combos – Winds and Jazz week (July 25)
Combos are small Jazz ensembles (winds, strings, piano, guitar, double-bass, drums and voice).
Please consult the guide, check the box on the registration form and send us the “Combos” form before June 14 at which date the groups will be formed (forms are available on the web or at the National Office). Registrations received after June 14 will be accepted only if there is available space left. If you don’t meet the necessary requirements, you will be able to register to the introduction to improvisation class on Sunday evening. Combos must be given priority in your schedule.
Other Courses
If you wish to register for the following courses, you must check the appropriate box on the Registration Form. Registration for other courses will take place on the Sunday evening of your arrival.
- Advanced piano class (weeks of June 27, July 11, July 18)
- Piano 4 hands class (weeks of June 27, July 11, July 18)
- Small ensembles (week of July 4)
- Master class in Song interpretation (except weeks of July 25 and August8)
- Intensive folk harp (week of July 18)
- Advanced jazz piano class (week of July 25)
- Musical Theatre Song Interpretation (week of August 9)
- Master class for string quartets (week of June 27)
- You will also have to indicate viol rental (week of July 4)
Discount
Invite others to register, whether for the very first time or the first time in at least ten years and receive a $200 rebate for each adult and $50 for each student or child thus registered to stay on the site. The discount will be applied to your current registration fees and any surplus, to next year’s fees. To be eligible for the discount, your name must be indicated as the one having recommended the program on the registration form completed by such participants.
Music Program
The music program fee includes courses, use of the Music Library, access to studios and concerts.
Lodging
The lodging fees include lodging in the Main Building or in the Lake House, meals and snacks starting with Sunday supper through breakfast on the following Sunday. It also includes use of recreational facilities.
Camping
- Camping fees include a camping site, use of recreational facilities and snacks.
- The price for the second camper is valid for the spouse, partner or one additional person sharing the same tent.
- The camping area has the following equipment: showers, tables, refrigerators, and a washer and dryer.

CAMMAC manages a bursary program. We invite persons who need financial assistance to ask for an application form from the National Office (888) 622-8755, extension 226.
