A word from Marc Brunelle
Dear members and friends,
With 2012 just around the corner, I would like to wish you all prosperity, joy, peace and health for the next coming year. I also wish you some space and time for your musical activities and, of course, may 2012 bring you enough challenges to spice up your passion! It is a passion for us to bring you, year after year, an unforgettable musical program and
our 2012 summer program will definitely be one to remember!
Our 2011 programs were very successful. We have seen an increase of 5% in attendance and we are hoping to repeat this again in 2012. Our concert-brunch series has also been very successful, we doubled the revenues from it and it attracts more and more visitors. We also had around 125 new participants throughout the summer. I would like to welcome you, new members and I sincerely would be very happy to see you again. I took time to speak to some of the new members last summer and everyone told me they had come to CAMMAC because of a friend or a family member who convinced them that the experience worth it. Thank you to all of you who believe in the CAMMAC spirit and take time to share their passion with friends and relatives.
This is how we started in 1953 and this is how we will continue for many more years; because of the word of mouth. I would like to invite you to spread the word virtually by becoming a fan of our
Facebook page (for those who are facebooker) and by signing in to our
ambassador network, which is a list of members to whom we send our brochures every spring for distribution in their network.
We’re happy about our successes but we are also aware that we have to keep on improving our services and equipments. Maintaining the site, improving our quality, our communications and our relations are a work in progress that will never be finished. Our resources are obviously limited and our goal is to do more with what we have. Harry Qualman has sent you our
annual fundraising letter and I thank all of you who have sent their pledge for this year. Every dollar counts for us and we really appreciate the help provided.
This is for me a true example of the sense of community the members of CAMMAC share. CAMMAC is about becoming better, learning how to work together, in a fun and relax atmosphere with strong family values and in the acceptance of other cultures and faiths. At this time of the holiday season, I really think our world would be better if the CAMMAC spirit was shared by our leaders and our society.
With this message of hope I wish everyone happy holidays and I hope to see you at the lake MacDonald soon !

Most of our Lake MacDonald teachers and many of our members are caught up in the whirlwind of pre-holiday concerts and activities (for me, the count is 11 performances between November 22 and December 24). It is a hectic but joyous time of year when we finally get to share with an audience the music we have been carefully and lovingly preparing with our groups over the past few months. It is a far more delightful prospect than hunting down a parking space in a mall! For those of you who are short of time or perhaps ideas for the special people in your life, consider offering a gift certificate to CAMMAC. All you have to do is decide on the amount, call the office and CAMMAC will send the happy news to the recipient. The gift certificate can be redeemed for any CAMMAC activity at Lake MacDonald: the Bach Weekend with Christopher Jackson (April 27-29), the Chamber Music Weekend (May 18-20), any of the weeks in the summer program (starting June 24) or for the Thanksgiving Weekend (Oct. 5 – 8).
