The Board of CAMMAC is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Brunelle as Executive Director of the Lake MacDonald Music Centre. Marc Brunelle served as Hostel Manager for the Montreal Youth Hostel for a number of years where he coordinated a variety of departments , participated in public relations and client services and managed a not- for-profit organization about the same size as CAMMAC. The Youth Hostel he worked with received the ‘Grand Prix’ from Tourism Quebec in 2005 for its category. Marc Brunelle was also in charge of training programs for eastern Canada for the Hosteling network.
Mr. Brunelle is involved with the arts as President of a theatre group and as a the treasurer of Traces Magazine, a cultural magazine in the Laurentians. He has also been a Board member of various tourism organizations and is an accredited trainer in tourism. He lives in Ste. Adele and knows and loves the Laurentian region. He has a particular interest in eco-tourism and green buildings and in promoting the Laurentian region as a tourism destination. Mr Brunelle says : “I am thrilled to work with such a remarkable organization that has a long history of bringing people together for the love and passion of music, outdoors and culture.”
Mr. Brunelle began his work with CAMMAC in the last week of April.
